Elena Bargelli

Coordinator

Elena Bargelli is currently full Professor of private law at the University of Pisa (Italy). Previously, she was a Research Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung at the Max Planck Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht in Hamburg (2008–2009) and a visiting fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London (2011/2012) and at the Yale Law School (New Haven, USA, 2007).
 
She is a member of the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law (ECTIL) and a member of ELI. Her areas of interest are contract and consumer law, tort law, family law and housing law, from a national and comparative perspective.

Anatol Dutta

Coordinator

 Anatol Dutta is Professor in private law, private international law and comparative law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. Previously, he was Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and Private International Law in Hamburg (2003–2014) and Professor at the University of Regensburg (2014–2017). In 2009, he was a visiting fellow at the University of Cambridge. He regularly teaches as a guest lecturer at foreign universities, for example at the Adam Mickiewicz University Poznań in Poland (2005–2014), at Kyushu University Fukuoka in Japan (2012), at the University of Auckland in New Zealand (EUCN Visiting Fellow 2013), at Hebrew University Jerusalem (2022, 2023) and at the University of Catania (2022). He is a corresponding member of the Cambridge Family Law Centre and an associate member of the Centre for Private International Law at the University of Aberdeen.

Anatol Dutta is a member of the German Council of Private International Law and co-editor of the Zeitschrift für das gesamte Familienrecht (FamRZ), the leading family law journal for practitioners and academics in Germany, and the Zeitschrift für Europäisches Privatrecht (ZEuP). He has a special interest in family and succession law, from a private international law as well as a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective.

François Trémosa

Coordinator

François Trémosa has been a notary in Toulouse since 1998. He is a former President of the Notaries of Europe’s (CNUE) Succession working group. Between 2006-2008, he was a member of the Expert Group of the European Commission on the Succession Regulation and, later, a member of the Committee drafting the European Certificate of Succession. Among other things, Trémosa participated in the ELI ‘Empowering European Families’ project. He regularly participates in the meetings of the European Judicial Network (EJN).
